Marcelo Gonzalez, LPC
Marcelo Gonzalez has an intuitive, keen mind for helping others and approaches his work from a practical perspective. He studied Occupational Psychology at the Adler School of Professional Psychology and has a keen understanding of how mental health and psychology apply in various settings and groups.
He works from a holistic perspective providing an encouraging, empathetic and affirming environment to explore new perspectives. His experience includes aiding those who are struggling with issues of identity (gender, race, nationality, etc.), low self-esteem, anxiety, depression, phase of life issues, career transitions, LGBTQ-related issues, acculturation, sexual health and relationship issues. Guests dealing with work or occupational matters find his coaching to be very valuable and quickly applicable to changes in their professional difficulties.
Marcelo’s style meets people where they are at with a judgment-free and authentic approach, to help individuals, couples, and families create room to find new ways to achieve their goals and create insight into the challenges, barriers, and patterns. His approach is compassionate yet direct, expecting a joint effort to achieve guests’ goals. He values a safe inclusive environment for all individuals.
Marcelo strives to engage and assist each individual in exploring how the culmination one’s identities within our society may affect how one walks through the world and the lens they use. He is currently accepting new guests in Old Town and Wicker Park studios.
