Email about Karri

Karri is a Licensed Social Worker, Certified Clinical Trauma Professional, and Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor who earned her master’s degree in Social Work from Aurora University. She believes that everyone has a story to tell and that through the work of therapy, they can rewrite the ending to their own stories. Previously, Karri spent time working in crisis intervention and crisis counseling, and she gained invaluable experience helping older adolescents and adults living with depression, bipolar disorder, stress, anxiety, trauma, substance abuse issues, and panic disorders, as well as those struggling with suicidal ideation.

At Willis CC, she looks forward to working with guests dealing with substance abuse issues, mood disorders, and trauma, but she’s more than happy to work with anyone who’s ready to do the work of therapy or recovery and doesn’t mind being challenged. She simply has a passion for helping people find their way from mental illness to mental wellness, and she loves asking questions that make guests think deeply about their lives. Often described as quiet, thoughtful, and compassionate, Karri hails from Wheaton, IL, and loves spending time with her husband, twin sister, and brother-in-law. An avid runner and boxing enthusiast who’s completed four marathons and countless half marathons, she also believes in incorporating physical activity into wellness plans to get those endorphins flowing.

“If you don’t take care of your body, where are you going to live?”
