Email about Kaitlin

Kaitlin Blakeney is a licensed professional counselor & strong advocate for caring for others. She received both her undergraduate & graduate degrees from Southern Illinois University, where she studied criminology & criminal justice shortly before receiving her Master’s degree in Rehabilitation Counseling.

Her work has included supporting young adults in managing major life decisions related to being new to a big city, managing career uncertainty, navigating dating stressors, setting boundaries in relationships & increasing independence from parents. She also has worked extensively managing adults working on life skills & stressors, helping people through crisis, as well as supporting those who have sustained traumatic brain injuries.

At Willis Counseling & Consulting, Kaitlin’s focus involves working collaboratively with professionals who find themselves overwhelmed with stressors related to the workplace &/or relationships, especially when those stressors result in anxiety & panic.

Kaitlin finds working with a diverse group of individuals to be extremely rewarding & looks forward to supporting her community’s mental health needs via WCC. Guests will experience her as a laid-back professional with a refreshing perspective & as someone willing to gently yet firmly push them where they most need it.
