Email us about Veronica

With backgrounds in both psychology and social justice, Veronica Ursetto brings a diverse set of skills to her work with others. She received her BA from Northeastern University and her MA in Clinical Psychology from the Chicago School of Professional Psychology, with a specialization in children, adolescents, and Play Therapy. A Chicago native, she  continues to find exploration in the city. She enjoys seeing the different neighborhoods and experiencing what Chicago has to offer from the theatre, to the museums, to breakfast diners, to the LakeShore.  At times, she surrounds herself with family, friends or a friendly face while other times, she finds it refreshing to curl up with a good book.

She is eager to apply the following values to her clinical work: her sense of curiosity, warmth, compassion, non-judgment, safety, creativity, mindfulness, reflection, trauma-informed care, skill development, humor, and expressive arts. Veronica values therapy because she believes everybody deserves to be listened to and to be heard.  Therapy is a great space to gain support when feeling alone or stuck, to gain insight to make changes, and skills to maintain a more fulfilling and meaningful life.

Some of Veronica’s most influential experiences include building new and exciting relationships with guests and colleagues.  She greatly appreciates her experiences of working with families, children, adolescents, and adults from various backgrounds.  She has learned the importance of how every individual and family unit are unique, and that therapy is a collaborative process which should reflect this individuality.  From a different perspective, Veronica feels fortunate to experience and reflect with individuals on their growth and hard work to make life feel more manageable.

She gives kid sized interventions for the little ones and is always thinking creatively about how to help young ones by using Play Therapy. Veronica looks forward to working with individuals who are courageous enough to reach out regardless of the “why”, in addition to those who feel stuck.  She has extensive experience working with trauma, anxiety, mood disorders, and interpersonal conflict. She also enjoys working with individuals who are part of families or units which need additional support.

Veronica is currently accepting new guests at our Wicker Park studios.
