Email about Heather

Heather is a Doctor of Psychology who earned her doctorate and master’s degrees in Clinical Psychology at the Texas School of Professional Psychology. When asked what most impacted her decision to become a therapist, she notes that she’s just always known it was her calling. And the joy she gets from helping teach families how to communicate better with one another has proved it was the right choice.

Before joining forces with Willis CC, Heather’s spent the majority of her career gaining invaluable experience at a hospitalization program for adolescent anxiety, where she supervises doctoral students and does presentations for the community. At Willis CC, she looks forward to working with adolescents and young adults struggling with anxiety, depression, chronic pain, and relationship issues, as well as parents and families.

Heather brings a sense of genuineness, empathy, and warmth to her sessions, and guests experience her as a fine teacher of skills who helps set attainable goals. She believes that everyone inherently possesses what they need to move forward in their lives, and it’s her aim to help them find the tools they need and use them. All she asks is that guests have a genuine willingness to make positive changes in their lives.

A self-described Star Wars and Star Trek nerd, Heather loves cooking, baking, camping, cooking, fishing, and spending time with her boyfriend, her family, and her dog, Gunther. She hails from Dallas, TX, and those who know her best would describe her as passionate, thoughtful, caring, empathetic, and direct.

“Look at it all as if it was a sunset.”
